Matt Sweat, MBA
Matt Sweat provides wealth-management services for banks and small businesses and helps young professionals put together comprehensive financial plans. Matt specializes in designing compensation plans for medium and small businesses as well as risk-adverse money-maximization strategies for retirees. He also enjoys working with young professionals, both married and single, who have a desire to establish solid, long-term plans for their financial future.
Prior to joining GFG Strategic Advisors, Matt worked as a controller for a large manufacturing company, and then spent nearly a decade in the banking industry as a consumer/commercial lender.
To stay on top of industry issues and opportunities, Matt earned his FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 licenses, and is currently pursuing his Series 7 license. In addition, he is State variable and Georgia Insurance License qualified.
A native of Dublin, Ga., Matt remains active in his community. He attends Jefferson St. Baptist Church in Dublin, and he currently serves as the treasurer of Laurens Lodge #75 Free and Accepted Masons. Matt has served as president of the Order of the Shillelagh, chairman of the Dublin-Laurens St. Patrick’s Festival, and treasurer of the Dublin Exchange Club.
Matt earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and later earned a Master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University. Matt resides in his home town of Dublin, Ga., with his wife, Kristen, and his two children, Kamryn Elizabeth and Wyatt Fletcher.
